Say it your way!

Marriage vows can be

  • traditional from countries and cultures from around the world
  • created and spoken from the heart to express personal thoughts of your commitment and unconditional love
  • composed using the marriage vows provided by the Alberta Government
  • a part of a ritual or special ceremony
  • worded to include children
  • AND must include the legal requirements outlined by the government of Alberta

Now would the groom and bride please face one another, join hands, and let the groom repeat after me:
 
I CALL UPON THOSE PERSONS PRESENT TO WITNESS THAT I, __________DO TAKE YOU, __________ TO BE MY LAWFULLY WEDDED WIFE, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, IN WHATEVER CIRCUMSTANCES OR EXPERIENCES LIFE MAY HOLD FOR US.
